Pete and James spent years workin’ away at sea, driftin’ from port to port and clockin’ up places most folk only see on telly. It all sounds dead glamorous, but we missed the proper things.

Plain speak. Things done right. Stuff that works and doesn’t need shoutin’ about.

Many a night were spent chattin’ about Yorkshire, about home, and about how nice it’d be to make summat that felt proper again.

When we landed back in Yorkshire, we decided to crack on and do just that. Nowt Fancy is our way of sayin’ you don’t need bells and whistles to make summat good. Just decent quality, a bit of care, and a sense of humour. We make candles with Yorkshire sayings, poured to smell reyt good and meant to be given, kept, and enjoyed.

We’re proud of where we’re from, we like things done proper, and we’re happy keepin’ it simple.
